This course will give a comprehensive overview of the policies, instruments and actors involved in shaping the EU’s external economic relations. We will look at the different dimensions of EU trade policy, its position within the global trade architecture, recent developments and strategic outlook.

The central objective is to deepen the participants’ understanding of the basic principles, mechanisms, procedures of the EU’s Common Commercial Policy (CCP) and to increase their awareness with regard to recent strategic initiatives.
