How to create a course?
What is a course?
A course is a space on a Moodle site where trainers and expects can add learning materials for their participants. A trainer may have more than one course and a course may include more than one trainer or expert, and more than one group of learners.
A course can display its materials in a number of ways or 'formats', for example in weekly sections or named topic sections. You can show all the sections at once or just reveal one at a time. See Course settings for more information, or watch the screencast: How to lay out a course.
How to make a course?
The first step we need to take is to open the site administration after logging in learning.eipa.eu

The next step would be to open the "Courses" page in the site administration and adding the new course.
After opening the "create new course" page, it is essential that you fill in the fields that are marked with a black exclamation mark in order to complete the operation.
Course full name: Add the full name of the course as it is stated in EIPA project directory.
Course short name would be the project number assigned to the course/seminar.
What do I need to fill in when I am making a course?
The fields that contain a black exclamation mark () are mandatory, and the process cannot be completed before filing them in.
In addition, it is required that you set the category, to where the course is supposed to be. Each category essentially represents a folder, so please treat it as such. The categories themselves are mapped according to our internal structure system, and every activity is defined by one of them. In case you have any contemplations about where to put it, please consider contacting Philip Mostafa.
Therefore, the mandatory fields are: course full name, course short name (project number).
N.B. 1 Please note that it is recommended to fill in the course summary to add a more "complete" feeling of the system. This description can be used from the marketing materials, and should summarize the course in a few sentences.
N.B. 2: Please not that if Visibility is set to hide, your course will be invisible from your "My courses" menu, even though you are enrolled. If you kept it as hidden, you would be able to retrieve your course through "manage course and categories"
How to navigate through courses?

)-> manage courses or categories

1) In the beginning, you will be able to see only the category names on your left side.
2) Once you select a category, you will see what courses are inside it on your right side.
3) Once you select a course from the left side, the navigation menu of the course will appear at the bottom of the page and it will look like:
N.B. Please note that if you click on the edit option, it will not let you edit the contents of the course, but will show you the options of the course itself ->
How to duplicate a course?
Site administration ()-> Courses (
)-> manage courses or categories -> find the relevant course -> click on duplicate button.

After that, fill in the new courses' name, short name (project number) and submit it for processing. This processes could take up to 30 min depending on the size of the course. The bigger the course is, the longer it will take to copy.
